Veterans Benefits
The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home will assist families with applying for all available benefits.
There are numerous benefits available to Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. For a listing of these benefits, and eligibility requirements, please visit the provided link to the Veterans Administration.
In addition to the national benefits, there are also some local benefits that may be entitled to a deceased veteran.
For deaths of Pennsylvania residents, ten (10) free death certificates will be furnished by the state.
Furthermore, there are benefits that Clearfield County offers for veterans. A $100.00 burial benefit will be filed on your behalf by the funeral home. Secondly, the county will offer $100.00 towards the purchase of a headstone (should you choose not to apply for the free government grave marker), OR $25.00 to be used toward the engraving of a purchased headstone, OR $25.00 to be used for the purchase of a base on which the free government grave marker is place.
