Obituary for Eugene L. McKendrick

Eugene L.  McKendrick
Eugene L. ' Pat' McKendrick, 85, of LaJose and formerly of Clearfield died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on November 7, 1927 in Clearfield, a son of the late Merle and Hazel (Long) McKendrick.

Mr. McKendrick was employed as an iron worker in New York for 19 1/2 years. He loved his racecars and delivering newspapers. Mr. McKendrick also enjoyed being outside cutting grass, hunting or fishing.

He is survived by two children Patricia McLaughlin and fiance John Lippert of Clearfield and Richard McLaughlin and fiance Robin Hockenberry of LaJose; three grandchildren Amanda McLaughlin, Betty Hubler and Isabella; three sisters LaRue Long of AZ, Phyllis Foster and husband Tex of TX and Evelyn 'Babe' Scanish of AZ; two brothers Bill McKendrick and wife Linda of DE and Ken McKendrick of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11 AM with Dr. Duane A. White officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11 AM.
