Jamie L. Bortz Day , 30, formerly of Clearfield died on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, MD.

She was born on July 18, 1982 in DuBois, a daughter of Leisa Donnelly and Todd Bortz.

Jamie was a veteran having served with the US Air Force. She previously worked with special needs adults in Maryland and most recently stay at home mom with her two children. While living in Clearfield, she was a member of the Children's Choir at C.A.S.T. and the Civil Air Patrol.

She is survived by her mother, Leisa Donnelly and husband Thomas of Edgewater, FL; her father, Todd Bortz and wife Sherry of Big Run;
two children, Devin and Dylan Day; her former husband, Steven Day of MD; her maternal grandmother, Barbara Minich of DuBois; two sisters and two brothers, Shawna Bortz of Big Run, Misty Bortz of Clearfield, Joseph Bortz of Clearfield and Ryan Donnelly of Edgewater, FL, ; three step sisters and a step brother, Erin Williamson, Jennifer Johnston, Lauren Donnelly and Thomas Donnelly, III all of Pittsburgh; and three nieces, Haley, Mykah and Melynda.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Minich; maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Fullerton; and paternal grandmother, Bonnie Bortz.

Services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 5:00 pm. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts honor guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 - 5 pm.
