Obituary for Bertha E. Rodi (Flood)

Bertha E.  Rodi (Flood)
Bertha E. Rodi , 80,of Clearfield died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at her home.

She was born on April 18, 1933 in Woodland, a daughter of the late John and Maude (Walther) Flood.

Mrs. Rodi was a beautician for 43 years. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed being outside working in the yard and with her garden.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she was active with the Rosary and Altar Society. Mrs. Rodi was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Rodi whom she wed September 17, 1960 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield; a son, Jay Rodi of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rodi was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Lilly, Kate Dixon and Claire Young; and three brothers, Kenneth, Harry and Guy Flood.

A memorial mass of will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 10 AM with Father Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from 4-7 PM and on Friday from 9-9:30 AM.

At the funeral home on Thursday, a Christian Vigil service will be held at 3:45 PM and the Rosary will be recited at 6:45 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield or to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield.
