Obituary for Carmen M. Duttry

Carmen M.  Duttry
Carmen M. Duttry, 95, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Curwensville, died on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on February 28, 1919 in Bloomington, a son of the late Franklin and Mae (Swatsworth) Duttry.

Mr. Duttry retired from Penelec after 30 years or service where he installed and read meters.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Curwensville where he served in the capacities of deacon and trustee.

He is survived by his son Rodney Duttry and his wife Diana of Punxsutawney; two granddaughters, Tracy McCoy and husband Rob and Michele Buzzard and husband Dave; three great grandchildren, Noah and Jacob McCoy and Nick Carey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine (Westover) Duttry on May 16, 2006 and whom he wed January 24, 1943 in Penfield. He was also preceded in death by a two sisters, Avanelle Mollica and Odessa Addleman; and three brothers, Lloyd, Orvis and Richard Duttry.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Wednesday at 1:30 PM with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 AM-1:30 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 312, Curwensville.
