Obituary for Marion E. McNamee (Camp)

Marion E.  McNamee (Camp)
Marion E. McNamee, 95, of Clearfield and a resident of Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died on April 10, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

She was born on June 13, 1918 in Albany, NY, a daughter of the late David and Doris (Brockley) Camp.

Mrs. McNamee was a homemaker and also had been employed at McGregor Sportswear and The Progress newspaper. She enjoyed any kind of games, whether it be playing bingo or cards or watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She also was accomplished at knitting, sewing and crocheting. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Mrs. McNamee was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society.

She is survived by six children, Patricia Kirsch and husband Darrell of Falls Creek, Sharon Adcock and husband Michael of Clearfield, William McNamee of Ludington, MI, Maureen McNamee of Clearfield, Colleen Yeager and husband Edward of Clearfield and Michael McNamee of Fernandina Beach, FL; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. McNamee on July 28, 1973 and whom she entered into the sacrament of holy matrimony on October 9, 1943. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, Bruce Patrick Graham, Bridget Ann Kirsch and Brooke Erin Yeager.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at 10 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

There will be no public visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activities Department, c/o Lois Kephart, 700 Leonard Street, Clearfield.
