Obituary for Grace E. Francemore (Kovach)

Grace E. Francemore, 98, of Clearfield and resident of Knickerbocker Villa, died on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

She was born on September 28, 1915 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Zemba) Kovach.

Mrs. Francemore was a school teacher at the Clearfield Area High School for 40 years where she taught English, History, Latin and Guidance. She also assisted her husband, Joseph, operate Francemore's Market in Clearfield and helped her father at his store, Kovach Clothing, in Curwensville.
She had attended the Curwensville Presbyterian Church and most recently the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield.

She is survived by her son, Joseph M. Francemore of Clearfield; two sisters, Louise Kovach and Dorothy Larson, both of Erie; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Francemore on June 8, 1992 and whom she wed July 4, 1954 in Altoona. She was also preceded in death by sister, Mary Jean Kuhn; and two brothers, John and William Kovach.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11 AM with Rev. Penney Rahm officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 AM.
