Obituary for William J. Welker II

William J. Welker II, 57, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his home.

He was born on November 3, 1956 in Clearfield, a son of William Welker I of Leesburg, FL and the late Mary (Illig) Welker.

Mr. Welker was employed as a truck driver, most recently by Walmart. He enjoyed motorcycles and belonged to the Clearfield Cycle Club and attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield.

I addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Betty E. (Luce) Bloom Welker whom he wed November 6, 2009; five children, William J. Welker III and companion Cassandra Nicholson of Garrett, Jessica Wallace and husband Brandon of Woodland, Michele Bloom and companion Francis Haversack of Hyde, Jerry Bloom and wife April of Sugar Land, TX and Charles Bloom and wife Sherri of Clearfield; twelve grandchildren; five sisters, Jeanine Smith and husband Ralph of Pioneer, CA, Betty Ann Scarberry and husband Tom of Akron, OH, Debbie Smith and husband John of Hartville, OH, Susan Posten and husband Tim of Uniontown, OH and Mary Beth Butler of Leesburg, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield on Monday at 12 PM with Rev. Penney Rahm officiating. Freinds will be received at the church from 10 AM - 12 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 South Second Street, Clearfield.

The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of arrangements.
