Obituary for Leonard L. Glace, Jr.

Leonard L.  Glace, Jr.
Leonard L. Glace, Jr., 71, of Clearfield died on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

He was born on October 6, 1942 in Clearfield, a son of the late Leonard L. Sr. and Betty (Miller) Glace.

Mr. Glace retired from Avery Coal Co., Wallaceton and had also worked for various construction companies throughout the Clearfield area. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was protestant by faith.

He is survived by seven children, Valerie Vargas and husband Tony of Clearfield, Dan Glace and wife Lisa K. of Spring Valley, Veronica Edwards and husband Brian of Hollidaysburg, Tammy Wilsoncroft and husband Ron of Clearfield, David Glace and wife Lisa L. of Curwensville, Joseph Glace and wife Tammy S. of Grampian and Gregory Glace of Clearfield; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Kephart, Esther Neeper and Thelma Maines, all of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia J. (Smeal) Glace on June 3, 1967 and whom he wed January 12, 1963; and his second wife, Eleanor R. (Wright) Glace on June 1, 2011 and whom he wed December 23, 1967 in Clearfield.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev. Brenda Libreatori officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9-11 AM .

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health-Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield.
