James F. Vicary , 68, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

He was born on December 23, 1945 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Frank and Viola (Catherine) Vicary.

Mr. Vicary was employed by Bob's Army and Navy Store for 25 years and then went to work for Gun's and Shooting Supplies 'R Us in Clearfield. Mr. Vicary also enjoyed doing electrical work for many friends and family. Two of the biggest joys in his life were his dog Max and his 1969 Chevelle. A veteran of the armed services, Mr. Vicary served with the US Army.

He is survived by his son, Dennis Vicary and wife Mag of Curwensville; and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Jayna Vicary.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith G. (Goss) Vicary.

A memorial service will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 AM.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield..
