Obituary for John S. "Jack" Daugherty

John S. "Jack"  Daugherty
John S. 'Jack' Daugherty, 83, of Grampian died on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his home.

He was born on April 4, 1931 in Smicksburg, a son of the late Sloan and Audrey (McAninch) Daugherty.

Mr. Daugherty retired in 1993 from Crawford Concrete, Rockton and had previously been employed at Clearfield Cheese Co. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 268, Curwensville where he served as governor for 2 years. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Daugherty served with the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Ackerson) Daugherty whom he wed August 11, 1951 in Marion Center; a brother, Carl E. Daugherty of Waterford; and a sister, Kathryn Dixon of FL.

As per Mr. Daugherty's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, the family does suggest memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
