Obituary for Kelly A. Rodkey (Norris)

Kelly A. Rodkey , 48, of Clearfield, formerly of Curwensville, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

She was born on November 19, 1965 in Clearfield, a daughter of Loretta (Anderson) Norris of Curwensville and the late Samuel G. Norris III.

Kelly graduated 10th in her class with high honors from Curwensville Area High School in the business curriculum. She participated in Curwensville H.S. Band as a majorette and was also a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church. She graduated with an Associate Specialized Business degree in Legal Secretarial Science from DuBois Area Business College and also from DuBois Penn State as a certified paralegal and was employed by Richard Milgrub, Esquire for over 25 years. She was a loving wife and devoted Mom to all her Keeshond puppy dogs. She loved animals, spending time with friends and family, doing outdoor projects, sewing and crocheting, day-trips with her husband and most of all, her beloved Keesy pups.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew D. Rodkey whom she wed August 12, 1989 and just celebrated their 25th anniversary this year. She is also survived by her bereaved mother, Loretta (Anderson) Norris of Curwensville; her Keeshond, Herbie; parents-in-law, John David and Joyce Rodkey; sisters-in-law, Teryl Cartwright, Janean Rodkey, and Gwynn Crichton; grandmother-in-law, Hesterbell Smith; nephew and niece, Joshua and Rebekah Cartwright; uncles, Joe and George Anderson; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Samuel G. Norris III; grandparents, Gib and Vida Norris and Blair and Charlotte Anderson; brother-in-law by marriage, Rev. Dr. Thomas K. Cartwright; grandfather-in-law, Paul G. Smith; grandparents-in-law, Robert and Eugenia Rodkey; and her Keeshonds, Eli, Simon and Rudy.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:00 am with Richard Barkley officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 pm and on Saturday from 10-11 am.
