Josephine B. Folmar, 88

of Hyde died on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the UPMC Altoona Regional Hospital.

She was born on October 3, 1926 in Frenchville, a daughter of the late Edmund and Emma (Hugney) Plubell.

Mrs. Folmar was previously employed at the former Kent Sportswear and McGregor Sportswear.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Rosary and Altar Society of the church and the Catholic Daughters of America Court 498. She volunteered with the St. Francis Church Bereavement Committee and at the Clearfield Hospital Cottage Gift Shop.

She is survived by three children, Janice Linberg and husband Jon of Fairfield, OH, Thomas Folmar of Hyde and Mark Folmar and wife Kim of Clearfield; four grandsons, Chris Linberg and his Jessica of FL, Nick Linberg and his wife Kristina of OH, Ben Folmar of Clearfield and Ryan Folmar of Woodland; four great grandchildren, Nolan, Keegan, Landen and Addison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Folmar on October 14, 2001 and whom she wed July 14, 1951 in Frenchville. She was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Ansley; and her four brothers, Victor, Willard, Wilfred 'Windy' and Eugene Plubell.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Thursday at 10:00 am with Msgr. Henry L. Krebs as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from 5 - 8 pm and on Thursday from 9 - 9:30 am..

A Christian Vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 4:45 pm followed by the rosary at 5 pm.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield.
