Obituary for Edward M. Jarrett

Edward M.  Jarrett
Edward M. Jarrett , 76, of Woodland died on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born on February 28, 1938 in Philipsburg, a son of the late George and Flora (Heeman) Jarrett.

Mr. Jarrett retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District II in Hyde, after 37 years of service. He will be remembered for having a great love for his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Dixon Maines Jarrett whom he wed June 16, 1971; five children, Florence Christine Smeal of Clearfield, Rebecca Ann Bumbarger and husband Douglas of DuBois, Edwina Lynn Lococo and husband Kevin of Chambersburg, Madeline Louise Smeal of Woodland and Michael Lee Jarrett and fiance Renee Bloom of Woodland; fifteen grandchildren, Christina, Melissa, Shawn, Amber, Lesley Jr., Miranda, Jettie, Mariah, Douglas Jr., Nicholas, Ryan, Tiffany, Alison, Robin and Lacy; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha Molica of Philipsburg and Ruby Eamigh of Philipsburg; three children from a prior marriage, Edward, Tammy and Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eillen Martell and Madeline Martell; and two brothers, George Jarrett and Jimmy Jarrett.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM - 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, 113 North Third Street, Clearfield.
