Obituary for Frank W. Hubler

Frank W. Hubler, 90, of Clearfield died on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on August 2, 1924 in Clearfield, a son of the late Jesse and Emma (Shaffer) Hubler.

Mr. Hubler retired from the former Clearfield Clay Products after 40 years of employment. In his free time, he was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed attending Clearfield Wrestling meets. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Mr. Hubler was a member of the Old Town Sportsmen's Club for many years, as well as the Clearfield American Legion and various camping clubs.
He was affiliated with Free Methodist Church, Clearfield. As a veteran of the U. S. Navy, he served during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Lindsay) Hubler whom he wed on November 26, 1948; two children, Susan Collins and husband Robert of Clearfield and Frank T. Hubler of Clearfield; a granddaughter, Bobby Sue Brooks and husband Mark of Clearfield; two great grandchildren, who both serve with the US Air Force, Dylan and Kayla Brooks; and a sister, Sarah Read of NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, William, Pete, Bob and John Hubler; and six sisters, Doris Hubler, Jean Davis, Gladys Horum, Annie Morris, Helen Hubler and Bertha Hubler.

Services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Old Town Sportsmen's Club, PO Box 804, Clearfield or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield.
