Obituary for Todd D. Freeland

Todd D. Freeland
Todd 'TD' Freeland , 43, of Clearfield went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

He was born on March 24, 1972 in Clearfield, a son of Jim and Judy (Eckley) Freeland of Clearfield.

Todd enjoyed his profession as a physical therapy assistant where he loved working with his patients and they loved him. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his buddies. He was an avid rock climber, enjoyed hiking, and simply spending time in God’s outdoors. But more than anything else, Todd most adored his children. He loved coaching his boys in both wrestling and baseball, and he loved singing songs with his daughter. He was happiest when he was with them.

Todd was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield. His faith was an important part of his life.

In addition to his parents Jim and Judy Freeland, Todd is survived by his wife, Deborah (Gavlak) Freeland whom he wed May 1, 1999 and four children whom he loved, Caleb, Luke, Carter and Lizzy. He is also survived by sister Dawna Ellis, sister Diane Hains and husband Tommy, and brother Greg Freeland and wife Jennifer, all of Chesapeake, VA; a mother-in-law, Faye Flickinger of Clearfield; and sister-in-law, Tina Reed and husband Dave of Olanta; four nephews and a niece.

Todd was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his father-in-law, Robert Gavlak.

The family welcomes all family and friends to an open house reception to celebrate his life in the Westminster Hall at The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield on Wednesday beginning at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Todd Freeland Children Fund, c/o Clearfield Bank and Trust, 11 North Second Street, Clearfield.

The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of arrangements.
