Sandra J.  Humenay (Shope)
Sandra J. Humenay, 72, of Clearfield and formerly of Kylertown, died on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

She was born on August 11, 1943 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Ira J. and Marguerite M. (Williams) Shope.

Mrs. Humenay owned Sandy's Beauty Shop in Kylertown for over 40 years. She volunteered at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield where she assisted with Mass. She also enjoyed reading.
Mrs. Humenay was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and former member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Grassflat.

She is survived by two daughters, Clara Floyd and husband Jim of Munson and Lisa Coval and husband AJ of Clearfield; four grandchildren, Marci Thomson and fiance Nathan Swanson of GA, Ayla Thomson of GA and Alex and Sydney Coval of Clearfield; two sisters, Ruth Ann Little and husband Earl of Morrisdale and Clara Little of Lancaster; and a brother, Halford Shope and wife Katie of Forest.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Humenay on December 1, 1997; and a brother, Ira J. 'Jake' Shope, Jr.

A Funeral Blessing Service will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 10 AM with Father John L. Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM and on Wednesday from 9-10 AM.

At the funeral home on Tuesday, a Vigil Service will be held at 5:30 PM and the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield or to the Orphans of the Storm, c/o Peggy Sass, 223 Hill Street, Curwensville.
