Helen R. Swisher, of New Lebanon, OH and formerly of Clearfield, died on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Genesis Health and Rehabilitation Center, New Lebanon, OH.

She was born on February 6, 1925 in Frenchville, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Lachat) Royer.

Helen was employed by Undercoffer Florist for thirty years.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.

She is survived by two children, Linda Lee Swisher Chernek of Rochester, NY and Dana R. Swisher and wife Patsy of Union, OH; three grandchildren, Tracy Chernek Cardone and husband Jeffery, Joseph Shields and wife Amber and James Cool; two great grandchildren Alyssa and Jacob Shields; a brother, Henry B. Royer and wife Carolyn of Frenchville; and a sister, Monica Cardon and husband Frank of Rochester, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth F. Royer.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Thursday at 10 AM with Father John Miller as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and on Thursday from 9-9:30 AM.
