Margaret E. "Margie"  Krebs (Krebs)
Margaret E. 'Margie' Krebs, 88,of Clearfield died on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

She was born on April 20, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Henry L. Sr. and Delia (Beahan) Krebs.

Margie was a 1945 graduate of St. Francis High School and then began working for The Progress, becoming president of the paper in 1997, a position she held until her retirement in July 2015. She was very committed to her family, friends, church and community, which were all detailed in their entirety in the recent story published on Friday in The Progress and in future articles.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she was very active, including serving as organist for many years.

She is survived by her four siblings, Thomas Krebs and wife Eleanor of Hilton Head, SC, Mary Michael of Clearfield, Ann Law and husband Clair of Clearfield and Msgr. Henry Krebs of Clearfield; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at 10 AM with her brother, Msgr. Henry L. Krebs as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday from 3-6 PM and on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis School, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield or to Christ the King Manor, 1100 W. Long Avenue, DuBois.
