Obituary for Frederick C. 'Freddie' Renaud

Frederick C. 'Freddie'  Renaud
Frederick C. 'Freddie' Renaud, 83, of Clearfield died on Friday, March 11, 2016 at his home.

He was born on July 23, 1932 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Alphonse E. and Marie (Bamat) Renaud.

Mr. Renaud owned and operated Renaud Appliance from 1971 until 1990. Prior to that, he was employed by the former Kirsch Maytag and Electric from 1955 until 1971.
He was 1950 graduate of Clearfield High School. Mr. Renaud was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and also of the Knights of Columbus, Clearfield. Freddie was a life and charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Leigey Renaud Post 8386, Frenchville where he had been a former Post commander and a member of the Honor Guard..
A veteran of the US Army, Mr. Renaud served during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, S. Lorraine (Rauch) Renaud whom he wed September 14, 1957 in Frenchville; four sons, Mark Renaud of Stephens City, VA, David Renaud of Clearfield, Doug Renaud of Frenchville and Eric Renaud of Streator, IL; two grandsons, Christopher and Connor Renaud; a sister, Patricia Renaud Fletcher and husband DeWayne of Clearfield; and two brothers, Francis Renaud and wife Cecelia of Eden, NY and Gerald Renaud and wife Ruth Ann of Hamburg, NY.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Renaud was preceded in death by his brother Richard Renaud.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at 10 AM with Father John L. Miller as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 9-9:30 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield.
