Eddie I.  Lauver
Eddie I. Lauver, 80, of Clearfield died on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born on June 29, 1935 in Clearfield, a son of the late Claude and Lucinda (Hugar) Lauver.

Mr. Lauver was employed as a delivery man for Wolf's Furniture, starting at age 17 and working for over 40 years until they closed. He had also driven bus for Fullington for 25 yrs. Mr. Lauver will be remembered for his strong work ethic as he delivered Meals on Wheels until he was 78 years old. Throughout all of his employment, he operated Lauver's Cabinet Shop, having been known for his skill at building gun cabinets.
He was Methodist my faith.

He is survived by his son, Gary Lauver and wife Carol of Clearfield; a granddaughter, Crystal Provencher and husband Michael of Ft. Leavenworth, KS; two great grandchildren, Madeleine and Gabrielle; and two sisters, Donna Graham of Woodland and Cheryl Leigey and husband Jeff of Allport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernetta Ann (Shubert) Lauver on November 5, 2013 and whom he wed December 19, 1953. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Helen Rowles.

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

The family strongly encourages that in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Eddie's memory to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), 275 21st Street, Clearfield.
