Obituary for Maria Ann Sturniolo (Harvey)
Maria Ann Sturniolo, 87,of Clearfield died on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born on February 25, 1929 in Drifting, a daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Livesky) Harvey.
Mrs. Sturniolo was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her family. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Mark Sturniolo whom she married on June 1, 1949 in Washington, DC; three sons, John Sturniolo and wife Maria of Stafford, VA, Dr. Frank Sturniolo Jr. and wife Dr. Marsha Sladeski of Buffalo, NY and Damon Sturniolo and wife Courtney of San Clemente, CA; a grandson, John Anthony Sturniolo; a sister, Theresa Carlson of Clearfield; and three brothers, Bill Harvey of SC, Richard Harvey and wife Gail of Philipsburg and John Harvey and wife Margaret of Drifting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Albert Harvey.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Monday at 10 AM with Fr. John Miller as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Monday from 9-9:30 AM.
At the funeral home on Sunday, a Christian Vigil Service will be said on at 1:45 PM and the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield. .
