Rosalie M. Irwin, 84

of Curwensville died on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born on February 14, 1932 in Glen Richey, a daughter of the late Bryan and Ruth (Hiese) Peoples.

Mrs. Irwin had been employed by the former Clearfield Cheese Company 1973 until 1988. She was also employed by Kent Sportswear for twelve years.

She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Irwin of Curwensville; a son, Daniel J. Irwin and wife Laurie of Curwensville; five grandchildren, Charlotte Elensky, Scott Irwin, Todd Irwin, Cory Irwin and Shane Irwin; three great grandchildren, Tanner and Ty Elensky and Adena Civils; a sister, Shirley Walk of Avis; and a brother, James Peoples of IL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Irwin on December 30, 2008 and whom she wed November 6, 1948 in Curwensville. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Derrick III; five sisters, Dorothy Withey, Marie Rummings, Louise Rummings, Jean Selfridge and Althea Hudson; and four brothers, Lester , Ted,Fay and Jack Peoples .

A memorial service will be held at the Curwensville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
