Obituary for Millicent G. "Mitzi" Pollick (Robinson)

Millicent G. "Mitzi"  Pollick (Robinson)
Millicent G. 'Mitzi' Pollick, 88, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born on November 27, 1928 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Maurice D. and Gertrude (Belber) Robinson.

Mrs. Pollick lived a very active life. She prided herself in raising her family while working many retail jobs and being co-owner of Robinson's Menswear. She was also very involved with sports, having been accomplished at golf, tennis and bowling. Her love of sports led her to be one of the founders of the Girls Youth Softball Program in Clearfield. She kept extremely active with cycling and walking. Mrs. Pollick was a frequent volunteer with the American Cancer Society, the Park and Recreation Board and the Clearfield County Swimming Pool Board. She had a love for all dogs and photography.

She is survived by her husband, John Pollick whom she wed on May 17, 1958 at their home; two children, Randy Pollick and wife Susan of Bellefonte and Jackie Morrison and husband Mike 'Nerd' of Clearfield; and a granddaughter, Haley Pollick of Bloomsburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Robinson; and her brother, Belber Robinson.

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield; or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street; or to the Alzheimer's Association, The Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
