Obituary for Jean L. Lope (Lucas)
Jean Lope, 92
passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born July 26, 1924 at Curwensville, she was the daughter of the late John and Erie (Thompson) Lucas.
She was affiliated with the protestant faith and attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield. She was a member of the Chinklacamoose Square Dance Club.
Mrs. Lope was the co-owner of Bob's Distributing Co. She retired from Henry J. Brown, Inc.
She is survived by two children, Robert W. Lope, Jr. and his wife Linda of Curwensville and Lynda and her husband Jeff Rauch of Spring Valley; two grandchildren, Scott Lope and Shannon Irwin and her husband Spencer; a brother, Carl Lucas of Ashville, NY; a nephew, John Lucas and his wife Debra of Poughkeepsie, NY; and a dear friend, Clyde Shubert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob on May 29, 2007 and whom she wed September 9, 1943 in Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Lucas.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield or to the charity of one's choice..
