Condolences

Condolence From: Rick & Sandy Young
Condolence: Our sympathy to all the Walker family. We both worked for Ray at the Gardens and Office. In fact we bought our property from him here in Bigler. What we will remember is his wisdom, humor, wit, and zest for life. Also how he helped out people and his generous donations to many organizations. R. I . P. Ray

Condolence From: Reed and Marilyn Walker
Condolence: My sincerest condolences to the entire extended Walker Family. I will greatly miss Ray's humor, kindness and jokes. His very positive philosophy of life inspired me greatly. Ray was a valued very close friend of my father, Leon Walker (cousins born one year apart and growing up together and raising havoc in Bigler.) Family was always of paramount importance to Ray. Condolence From: Robbee and Tom Kosak
Condolence: My husband, Tom, and I send our deepest condolences to the entire Walker family, especially Alan, Judy, Derek and Courtney. As Penn State alumni, it was very special for us to have come into the Walker family circle (though introduced through Bucknell), to share good times in person for a few years and then to continue to follow their fun, successes, good works, and life challenges through Alan's annual Christmas letter. A highlight was always the update about Ray's many acts of kindness, humility, and zest for life. Each one left us feeling as though we each could always strive to do more in our own lives. We feel fortunate to count ourselves among the hundreds who have been inspired by Ray's life and to whom his escapades brought a smile to our faces. We can only imagine how much he will be missed by his family and close friends, but hope they find comfort in knowing that heaven just acquired a very special angel to look over us all. In deepest sympathy, Robbee Kosak

Condolence From: Former Gov. Tom Corbett
Condolence: Statement of former Gov. Tom Corbett on the passing of Ray Walker “Pennsylvania has lost a truly great man. A genuine renaissance man, Ray was an accomplished musician, an inventive and trailblazing entrepreneur, community leader, avid outdoorsman, worldwide traveler and a lifelong learner. He shared the success of his business by founding numerous civic organizations and scholarship funds although Ray’s greatest gift was his friendship. I will always cherish the time we spent together and was grateful to be Ray Walker’s friend.”
