Obituary for John R. "Bob" Johnson

John R. "Bob"  Johnson
John R. 'Bob' Johnson, 68, of Clearfield died on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on March 31, 1949 in Clearfield, a son of the late Robert N. and Margaret (Daniels) Johnson.

Bob worked as a body and fender repairman on cars. He had also had worked as a car painter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was a member of the Clearfield VFW Post 1785 and the American Legion Post #6.
Serving during the Vietnam war, he was a member of the U. S. Army.

He is survived by two children, Christopher Johnson and Carrie Emrick; four grandchildren, Joshua and Payton Emrick and Kai and Orion Johnson; three brothers, Terry L. Johnson and wife Karin, Danny A. Johnson and Ricky N. Johnson and wife Jan; two nieces, Amanda Watkins and Chelsea Johnson; and a nephew, Joshua Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Johnson on October 6, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11 AM with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 10-11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Laurel Nursing Home, 700 Leonard Street, Clearfield.
