Obituary for Allan M. Brown
Allan M. Brown, 78, of Clearfield passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at his home.
He was born on July 2, 1943 in Clearfield, a son of the late Earl and Helen (Cowden) Brown.
Allan graduated from Gettysburg College in 1964, and post-grad spent some time at Michigan State. He then came home to work for E.M. Brown Concrete where he later became Vice President and General Manager of the company. He was also CFO of the Clearfield Equipment Company.
He loved theater and enjoyed boating and traveling. He also loved Penn State sports and was an avid fan.
Allan was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Clearfield Moose, and was a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540, and the Penn State Alumni Association.
He is survived by his companion of 40 years, Jerry Olsen; a brother, Robert E. Brown and fiance Linda Miller; two nephews, Robert A. Brown and wife Shellie, and Mark Brown and wife Jennifer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 4th, 2022 from 2-4 PM at the historic Hotel Lenhart in Bemus Point, NY 14712. Directions and other information can be found at www.hotellenhart.com or call 716-386-2715.
