Obituary for Arlene A. Clapsaddle (Roland)
Arlene A. Clapsaddle, 85, of Clearfield passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born on February 22, 1935 in Westover, a daughter of the late Sharles and Mabel (Wagner) Roland.
Mrs. Clapsaddle had worked in retail for most of her life, having retired from Kings Jewelry in Waldorf, MD in 1988. She was a great cook and loved to bake. She had also enjoyed bowling.
She is survived by her husband of over sixty years, Jack Clapsaddle whom she wed on August 14, 1959; a daughter, Jackie Verhun and husband David of Clearfield; two grandsons, David Matthew Verhun and wife Tammi of Honolulu, HI, and Christopher Jack Verhun and wife Nicole of Indian Head, MD; three great grandchildren, Lila, Lily and Dean; and two brothers, Quinton and Lewis Roland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Roland; and three infant brothers, three.
A service will be held at a later time at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flower, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, 270 Walker Drive Suite 201-B, State College, PA, 16801 .
