Obituary for Barbara Ann Gillingham (Hand)
Barbara Ann Gillingham, 79, of Clearfield died on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born on June 2, 1943 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Wisor) Hand.
Mrs. Gillingham attended the Clearfield Area High School and was employed at Shortway Products as well as the Curwensville State Bank. In her free time, Mrs. Gillingham enjoyed gardening and flowers, ceramics, canning and cooking. She previously attended the Philipsburg Church of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Gillingham of Clearfield; a grandson, Eric Gillingham; two great grandchildren, Jayden and Austin; two sisters, Sara Swanson and husband Tom of Bigler, and Emily Kelley of Erie; and three brothers, Bob Hand of FL, David Hand of Mineral Springs, and John Hand of Grampian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Gillingham in 1989; a son, Joseph Gillingham, III; a grandson, Joseph William Gillingham; a sister, Mary Jane Gillingham and her late husband Richard; and two brothers, Ed and Harold Hand.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Thursday at 1 PM with Raymond Stiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 AM - 1 PM.
