Obituary for Barbara J. Marshall (Undercofler)
Barbara J. Marshall, age 70, of Clearfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born on March 27, 1948, in Clearfield, the daughter of the late Robert Boaz Undercofler and Etta (Rinehart) Undercofler.
She was a 1966 graduate of Clearfield Area High School, and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Clarion University. She married Gary L. Marshall on June 7, 1969, in Clearfield. She was an elementary school teacher in the Clearfield Area School District for more than 37 years, working at Glen Richey, Plymptonville, Third Ward and Clearfield Area Elementary schools.
In addition to Gary, her husband of 49 years, she is survived by son Brian (Amy) Marshall, of Port Matilda, PA.; daughter Susan (Rick) Steinmetz, of La Plata, MD.; grandchildren Alex and Lauren Marshall and Alayna and Juliana Steinmetz; sister Marilyn Billiter, of Aliquippa, PA.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Robbie) Clayton Undercofler.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Monday from 10-11 AM.
