Barry Leroy Shirey Sr. age 70, passed away Saturday February 19,2022 at his Daughters home in Bald Hill.
Born February 25,1951 in Clearfield Pa. He was the son of the late Boyd and Pearl E (Stiner) Shirey.
Barry was a retired coal miner .
On August 23 1969 He wed his former wife Phyllis (Shoffner) Bloom of Morrisdale.
He is survived by his former wife Phyllis along with former Mother -in-law Dorothy Shoffner of Morrisdale.Three Daughters: Tamera (Henry) Martell , Pearl D ( Brian) Stiner and Peggy (Butch)Smith all of Bald Hill Pa. ,A son Barry Jr. (Jackie) Shirey of Frenchville, and beloved Dog copper.
Grandchildren: Kennita, Jessica ,Barry, Henry, Tiffany, Christopher , Alyssa, Josalyne ,Gentry, Logan and Riley. 16 Great Grandchildren including his best sidekick Aria Tibbens. Also survived by siblings : Pat (Jerry) Rainey ,Bill (Jenny) Shirey, Larry( Carla) Shirey, Tom (Helen) Shirey, Hilda Buck , and Richard Shirey, and many nieces and nephews.
Barry is preceded in death by HisParents and His Fiancé Jennifer who passed away November 23 1997. Brothers : Ferd, Boyd,and Raymond Shirey, Sisters Thelma Smail and Beverly Shirey.
Memorial service will be held at The Church of Christ Saturday February 26, 2022 at 1pm with Rev. Raymond Stiner.
A luncheon and celebration of life will follow at the Redwood Inn LLC. 9426 Gillingham Rd LeContes Mills Pa.
Private Burial will be held by family at a later date .
Memorial contributions in Barry’s name can be made to St Judes Children’s Hospital .
