Obituary for Betty E. Welker (Luce)
Betty E. Welker, 75, of Clearfield died on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at her home.
She was born on December 6, 1947 in Philipsburg, a daughter of Margaret A. (Bigelow) Luce of Clearfield and the late Robert G. Luce.
Mrs. Welker retired as a driver coordinator for the transportation department of Walmart. Prior to working at Walmart, she had been employed at the former Clearfield Cheese. Mrs. Welker enjoyed riding on motorcylces and crocheting.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield
She is survived by her mother, Margaret A. Luce of Clearfield, three children, Michele Bloom and companion Francis Haversack of Hyde, Gerald Bloom Jr. and wife April of Sugarland, TX, and Charles Bloom and wife Sherri of Clearfield; two step children, William J. Welker III and companion Cassandra Nicholson and Jessica Wallace and companion Curt; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, R. Paul Luce and wife Sue of Mesquite, TX, and William Luce and wife Cheryl of Aiken, SC; and a sister, Judy Alex and husband Dan of Mechanicsburg.
In addition to her father, Robert Luce, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Welker II on June 18, 2014. She was also preceded in death by sister, Joyce Lowe.
Funeral services will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield, on Thursday at 1 PM with Dr. Fred Ralston officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
