Obituary for Carl R. Steiner Jr.
Carl 'Buddy' R. Steiner Jr. passed from this life on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
Buddy was born on July 8, 1961 in the Clearfield Hospital to Carl R. and Hilda L. (Shirey) Steiner.
He married Karen Hunt on August 23, 2003 at an outside service surrounded by family and friends.
Buddy served 10 years in the U.S. National Guard with an honorable discharge.
He was preceded in death by both his paternal grandparents, John and Alta Mae Steiner; his maternal grandparents, Boyd and Pearl Shirey; his father, Carl R. Steiner Sr.; step mother, Audrey Steiner; step father, Emerson Buck Jr.; sister, Tina L. Smith; and brother-in-law, Robert Stewart.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Hunt) Steiner; his mother, Hilda L. Buck; brother, Rex A. Steiner (Thelma) of Big Run; a step brother, Johnny Steiner of Philipsburg; four sisters; Patricia J. Zimmerman (Bill) of Rebersburg, Judith L. Stewart-Miles (Marc) of Allentown, Susan M. Hanes (Rick) of Curwensville, and Georgiann E. Way (Randy) of Frenchville; step children, Chasity Graham of Clearfield, Dewayne Graham and companion Jennifer Bloom of Curwensville, and Elizabeth Graham of Williamsport; step grandchildren, Dewayne Graham, Alex Graham, Dante Hall, Carol Baney, and Thorin Bloom. He also had seven nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews; three step nieces and nephews, twelve step great nieces and nephews; and one step great great niece and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1 PM at the Congress Hill United Methodist Church, 8208 Gillingham Road, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 12-1 PM.
