Obituary for Carol Jane Eckley

Carol Jane Eckley, 73, of Clearfield died on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Knickerbocker Villa.

She was born on August 23, 1947 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Frank Edwin Wilkinson and Virginia Mae (Miller) Wilkinson.

Carol graduated from Curwensville Area High School. She lived in Curwensville, Flinton, and most recently in Clearfield. She had been employed at Kent's Sportswear and JC Penny in Clearfield.She had many interests including crocheting, flower gardening, bowling, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She loved her family and her little Yorkies.

She was a member of Beaver Valley United Methodist Church, Flinton.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Ann Sisk of Azle, TX; granddaughter, Nichole Yatta of State College; step son, James Eckley IV and wife June of Adamstown, MD; step daughter, Suzette Eckley of Lanse; two step grandchildren, Elizabeth Eckley, and James Eckley, V; five siblings, Larry Wilkinson of DuBois, Lester Wilkinson and wife Patricia of Hummelstown, Ellen Coulter of Curwensville, Virginia Spencer and husband Randy of Curwensville, and Frank Wilkinson and wife Annette of Clearfield; daughter-in-law, Tammie Yatta; sister-in-law, Barb Cathcart and husband Mike; and many other in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Eckley, III on December 16, 2011 and whom she wed December 1, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dana A. Yatta; brothers, Glenn Wilkinson and Richard Wilkinson; sister-in-law, Debra Wilkinson; brother-in-law, Robert M. Coulter; step daughter, Carla Rowles; and step grandson, Levi Rowles.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Carol will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the Beaver Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery, Flinton.

Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville is in charge of the arrangements.
