Obituary for Carol H. Nottingham (Hemphill)
Carol H. Nottingham, 81, of Philipsburg, formerly of Clearfield, died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
She was born on September 4, 1939 in Surveyor, a daughter of the late George Hemphill and Anna (Stiner) Hemphill Swisher Rugh.
She was formerly employed as a bus driver in Petersburg, VA. She had also worked at Kent Sportswear, Olan Mills Photography, Kurtz Bros, and sold insurance for Combined Insurance Co.
She was a member of Clearfield Alliance Church of Clearfield, the Mosquito Creek Sportsman's Club, the Leigey Renaud Post No. 8386 Veterans of Foreign Wars of Frenchville and the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging.
She is survived by a son; Greg Capatch of Coudersport; ten grandchildren, Samantha Kruise, Christine, Jeannette, Jennifer, Kaylee, Marlena, Chase, Ben, Tony, and Logan; many great grandchildren; and several brothers, sister and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Capatch; and two sons, Jeffrey and Michael Capatch.
In honor of Ms. Nottingham's wishes, there will be no public services observed.
