Obituary for Charles E. Marshall

Charles E. 'Chuck' Marshall passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021 at his residence in Hyde.

He was born on March 3, 1950 in DuBois, a son of the late Elmer and Grace (Fye) Marshall.

He was a life member of the Clearfield Boro and Lawrence Township Vol. Fire Departments and the District Fireman's Association. In past years he held many offices at those departments. In the past he was also the line up chairman for the Clearfield Fireman's Parade.

Chuck was a volunteer coach for Clearfield Little League for 15 years and enjoyed working with the youth. He was also a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, and the Knights of Columbus Council 409.

He had been a longtime employee of the former Berg Electronics, and was then employed by Bright Horizons of Clearfield.

When Chuck was able, he loved going to Florida as a "snowbird." More recently his focus was camping at Cayman Landing Treasure Lake in DuBois.

Chuck will be remembered as having a quick wit and the ability to always make you smile.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Kuna) Mallon-Marshall whom he wed June 26, 2010. Also surviving are his children, Sherry (Marshall) Kephart and husband Lance of Shiloh, Cynthia Marshall and significant other C.J. Also surviving are a brother, Gary L. Marshall of Clearfield; a sister, Peggy (Marshall) Sawtelle and husband John of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra (Behel) Marshall on March 10, 2004. He was also preceded in death by two infant grandsons, Mason Tyler Kephart, and Alec Mason Marshall; and a sister-in-law, Barbara J. (Undercoffler) Marshall, all leaving an emptiness in his heart.
