Obituary for Charles I. Peace
Charles I. Peace, 70, of Curwensville died on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at his home.
He was born on March 22, 1953, a son of the late Raymond and Susanna (Parrish) Peace.
Chuck had been employed by Benjamin Coal in LaJose and Milton Steel in Sunbury. He enjoyed hunting and loved the Lord.
He had attended the First Baptist Church, Curwensville and, most recently, the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Mathews and husband Larry of Grampian, and Kimberly Peace of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Lawrence Mathews III, Isaac Mathews, Gabrielle Peace, Cynthia Bonilla, and Elias Bonilla; three brothers, David Peace, Joseph Peace, and Dan Peace; and three sisters, Theresa Peace Gulich, Shirley Peace, and Cynthia Peace.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Gearhart) Peace on April 1, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 1 PM with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will be in the LaJose Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 11 AM - 1 PM.
