Obituary for Charlotte A. Dixon (Woods)
Charlotte A. Dixon, 79, of Houtzdale died on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born on August 26, 1942 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Marjorie (Smeal) Woods.
Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker and was previously employed by Citgo Gas Station from 1997 to 1998 and at Ames Department Store from 1976 to 1982.
She was a member of Church of Christ of Woodland.
She is survived by her four children, Phyllis Daugherty and husband Leon of Olanta, Richard Dixon of Clearfield, Pamela Hockenberry and husband Bill Bratton of Morrisdale, Karen Mabie and husband Dennis of Morrisdale; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy A. Dixon on November 15, 1999. She was also preceded in death by three grandsons, Ivan Berringer, Leroy Graham, and Daniel Graham; and five sisters, Velma Woods, Donna Woods, Norma Smeal, Shirley Burnette, and Grace Graham.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Interment will follow in the Summit Hill Cemetery, Morrisdale.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:30 PM- 6:30 PM.
MASKS MUST BE WORN AT BOTH VISITATION AND FUNERAL.
