Obituary for Dale L. Heichel

On Monday, April 12, 2021, Dale L. Heichel entered the pearly gates of heaven safe in the arms of Jesus.

Born on October 25, 1948 in Clearfield, he was the first-born son of the late John H. Jr. and Betty (Narehood) Heichel. On July 26, 1980, he married his soul mate, Suzette (Morris) Heichel, who survives and has been his loving and devoted wife of 40 years.

Dale retired from the Packing Dept. of FCI Clearfield (formerly Berg Electronics and E.I. DuPont) in 2002. Previous to that he drove tractor trailer for a number of years for West Side Distributing in Clearfield.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA and an avid NASCAR fan. One of Dale's greatest joys in life was the time spent with their precious feline kid, Billy the Cat. Dale was known for his many cookouts, as he was quite the accomplished chef on the grill. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and unforgettable laugh.

He is survived by one brother, Philip Heichel and his wife Louette of West Decatur; three sisters, Rebecca (Greg) Hertlein of Clearfield, Bonnie (Blaine) Hugney and Connie (Joe) McGovern both of Frenchville. Dale is also survived by adoring, countless nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dorothy (Bishop) Morris.

Due to COVID circumstances, funeral services will be private for the immediate family. Dale will be laid to rest at the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
