Obituary for Donna Jane Sunderland (Lippert)
Donna Jane Sunderland, 87, of Curwensville died on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
She was born on July 3, 1934, a daughter of the late Cloyd 'C.O.' and Erma (Askey) Lippert.
Mrs. Sunderland worked for Clearfield Cheese, Schreiber Food, and had a daycare in her own home for many years.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School, the Curwensville Alliance Church, and the Clearfield Alliance Bible Study Group.
Mrs. Sunderland was the glue that held her family together. She loved planning dinners, holiday events, and anything else she could to be around the people she loved.
She is survived by three children, Gary Sunderland and wife Susan of Grampian, Lisa Fleming and husband Mark of Curwensville, and Dave Sunderland and wife Tammy of Curwensville; six grandchildren, Tiffney Rouguex, Tracey Schaffer, Keith Barrett, Jayce Sunderland, Chelsea Ryen, and Cody Fleming; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Rouguex, Cooper Ryen, and Kennedy, Leanna, Bryanna, and Adam Schaffer; and two brothers, Jim Lippert and wife Cindy of FL, and David Lippert and wife Mona of McConnelsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Telford Taylor Sunderland on March 20, 2022 and whom she wed February 23, 1952. She was also preceded in death by a son, Craig Sunderland; and a sister, Nancy Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held at the Curwensville Alliance Church on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 5 PM with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at the church from 3 PM until the time of service.
