Obituary for Edith M. Barber (McKee)
Edith McKee Shaw Barber, age 97, a resident of Hamilton, OH died May 1, 2022 at The Woodlands of Hamilton assisted living facility.
Edith was born in Clearfield August 7, 1924 to Hazel Hills and Ralph McKee. She was a lifelong resident of Clearfield until age 90 when she moved to Fairfield, Ohio to be near family. At the time of death, she resided at The Woodlands of Hamilton.
Her working career in Clearfield included Kurtz Brothers, Leitzinger Department Store, and Clearfield Furs. She also served a term on the Borough council representing the fourth ward.
She loved Steelers football, Reds baseball, playing Bingo, and visiting with family.
She was preceded in death by husband, Russell H. Shaw and husband John C. Barber, her parents, her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Peters and brother William McKee.
She is survived by her son Russell (Rusty)Shaw (Velma) of Lancaster, CA; and daughter Katharine (Kathy Shaw) Dove (David) of Fairfield, OH. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11 AM after which, she will be laid to rest in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends and family may pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, May 5 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM.
