Obituary for Gay F. Bates-Baumgardner
Gay F. Bates-Baumgardner, 66, of Clearfield died on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born on September 30, 1956 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Albert Jr. and Grace (Welker) Bates.
Gay graduated from Clearfield High School and had been employed as a project coordinator for most of her life.
She is survived by her life-long partner of 36 years, Rodger Baumgardner of Clearfield; a daughter, Cassandra Baumgardner and partner Kurtis Billings of Clearfield; a step daughter, Brittany Baumgardner and partner Jorgen Milliken of Newport, RI; a step grandson, Miles Milliken; a brother, Tim Bates and wife Susan of Treasure Lake; and a sister, Kay Livergood of Clearfield.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday at 1 PM with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM - 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Ministerium Food Pantry, 111 N. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
