Obituary for Grace I. Bachelier (Irwin)
Grace I. Bachelier, 86, of Grampian died on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born on July 4, 1934 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Byron and Viola (Way) Irwin.
Mrs. Bachelier was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children and time spent with her family.
She attended the First Baptist Church, Curwensville and was a member of the Willys Overland Jeepster Club.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel P. Bachelier whom she wed July 16, 1955 in Curwensville; two sons, Daniel Paul Bachelier and wife Sherry of Grampian, and David Paul Bachelier and wife Wendy of West Kittaning; three grandchildren, Merideth Slee and husband Evan of West Kittaning, Courtney Undercofler and husband Zachary of Punxsutawney, and Matthew Paul Bachelier of Sarver; four great grandchildren, Oliver, Eve, Elsie and Cecily; and a brother, Gerald Irwin of Tunkhannock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Paul Bachelier; and a sister, Margaret Ruth Jamison.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Curwensville, Curwensville on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville on Tuesday from 4-7 PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
