Obituary for Harry W. Hand

Harry W. 'Bill' Hand , 89, of Clearfield died on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

He was born on November 17, 1931 in Curwensville, a son of the late James M. and Mary L. (O'Loughlin) Hand.

Mr. Hand started out working as an iron worker, and later on became an auctioneer and realtor. He enjoyed golfing, and playing music in his band, "The Good Timers."

He was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #314, Clearfield; the Shriners; the Clearfield Fire Department; and Centre Grove United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hand served with the U. S. Air Force from 1948-1952.

He is survived by two sons, William Hand and wife Gail of Clearfield. and Kenny Hand of Clearfield; a daughter, April Davis of Arcadia, FL; six grandchildren, Brent Hand and wife Samantha, Billie Jo Hand, Eric Hand, Danielle Davis, Samantha Davis, and Morgan Davis; seven great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Justin, Lydia, Gunnar, Hunter, Cole, and Lalynn; a sister, Joyce Perry of York; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly E. (Smeal) Hand on May 12, 2018. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Hand, Jim Hand, and Harold Hand; and two sisters, Nora McCoy and Eva Peoples.

Honoring Mr. Hand's wishes, there will be no public services. Interment will be in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.
