Obituary for Helen L. Gillingham (Cassick)
Helen L. (Cassick) Gillingham, 86, of Clearfield went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2022. She was at her home surrounded by her family.
Helen was born on April 28, 1936 in Irishtown, a daughter of the late Catherine (Collar) Cassick and John Cassick.
Helen was a member of th eLiving Hope Apostolic Church. She was retired having first worked at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home and then for Best Western.
On October 1, 1956, she married James H. Gillingham Sr. who preceded her in death on December 9, 2011. Also preceding her in death was her infant daughter, Cathy Marie; two sisters, Peggy Starr of New York and Evelyn Graham of Egypt, PA; and two brothers, Leonard Cassick of New York and James Cassick of New York.
Helen is survived by her son, James H. Gillingham Jr. and wife Dora Raye of Clearfield; a granddaughter, Jamie 'Angel' Rudy and her husband Jason of Clearfield; a grandson, Dustin 'Boo' Gillingham and wife Kristin 'Kozy' of Clearfield; four great grandchildren, Aidan Rudy, Madeline 'Maddie' Rudy, Aspen Rudy and Evie 'Baby Girl' Gillingham, all of Clearfield. She is also survived by twin sister, Hilda Gillingham of Clearfield; and a brother, Francis Cassick of Mineral Springs; several nieces and nephews and friends that held a special place in her heart.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Thursday at 1 PM with Pastor Thomas Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 AM - 1 PM.
