Obituary for Jace Lucen Snedden

Jace Lucen Snedden, 13, of Curwensville passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

He was born on September 19, 2008 in Dubois, a son of Matthew and Rachel (Bloom) Snedden.

Jace was currently in 7th grade at Curwensville Junior/Senior High School. He will be remembered as a sweet and special boy, with a huge heart and big personality - almost too big for this world. He had such an infectious, constant smile. Jace's sense of humor was like no other. His jokes, his wit, his comebacks, sayings, funny faces he had made and his silly dances. Jace would talk your ear off and viewed everyone as a friend. He was a dreamer, always planning his life goals. Jace was brilliant and wise beyond his years. He always made sure people felt special and loved. He was always looking out for others and could always sense when someone was sad, lonely or just needed a hug. Jace had a love for odd things; Jason from Friday the 13th, SouthPark, Kenny from Southpark, science, and how things worked. Google was his friend. Jace adored his nephews. Also Binx his cat nephew. He would often go to the bus stop to get Izaick off the bus. He loved to spend time with his mom and dad; Zen and Izzy and his grandparents. He loved all of his family so much. Jace also loved his grandparents beyond the world. He definitely left an impact on everyone's hearts and lives. He had a heart of gold. This world will never be the same.

He is survived by his parents, Matthew and Rachel (Bloom) Snedden of Curwensville; maternal grandparents, Charles 'Fred' Jr. and Christina 'Tina' (Shaw) Bloom; a paternal grandfather, Richard Snedden; paternal grandmothers, Elaine (Anderson) Snedden and Carol (Welker) Foley; a sister, Israel Thurston; a brother, Zen Snedden; three nephews, Izaick, Tobias and Zyler Thurston; four uncles; Freddy Bloom, Richie Snedden, Rob Shaw and Dave Shaw; three aunts, Lu Eikenberry, Gloria Gilligan, Jessie Garvey; and many cousins and other family members.

Jace was preceded in death by two great uncles, Bill Bloom and Bill Anderson; an aunt, Jen Shaw; a great grandmother, Ruth Anderson; and dear friends, Roger and Betty Thurston.

Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville on Friday at 6 PM with Kathy Piercy officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 3-6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, 113 North Third Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
