Obituary for Kylee S. Gaines (Gaines)
Kylee S. Gaines, 21, of DuBois and formerly of Clearfield died on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh after a hard fought battle with Goodpasture Syndrome, a rare auto-immune disease.
She was born on January 22, 2000 in Dubois, a daughter of John Gaines Jr. and Pamela Disshon of Clearfield.
Kylee was a 2018 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and enjoyed crafts, music and drawing. She was also involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program of Clearfield and enjoyed her time with her big sister, Helen. Kylee greatest love in life were her dogs, Tada and Lil Bug.
In addition to her parents Pamela Disshon and John Gaines Jr., she is survived by a sister, Bree Gaines of Clearfield; a brother, Jacob Disshon of Sheffield; her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Dorothy Disshon of Clearfield; her paternal grandmother, Ada Gaines; two aunts, Susan Disshon and her long time boyfriend John Goodwin of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Dr. Kimberly McBennett and husband Micheal of Copley, OH and their 2 sons Derek and Andrew McBennett. Kylee is also survived by her beloved 'fur-babies', Tada and Lil Bug.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, John Gaines, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Joy Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 PM - 7 PM and on Friday from 10 AM- 11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Clearfield, 1008 S. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
