Obituary for Lowell E. "Peewee" Greene

Lowell E. 'Peewee' Greene, 75, of Grampian died on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born on November 25, 1945 in Grampian, a son of the late Russell and Lorraine Greene.

Peewee was a graduate of Curwensville High School and had retired from Wickett and Craig, Curwensville. Prior to that, he had been employed by Clearfield Cheese until the plant closed. Peewee loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed playing and coaching baseball. He also enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball, even throwing a no-hitter. Peewee also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Hoover) Greene whom he wed on June 20, 1970; two children, Susan Steele and husband Shawn of Kenosha, WI, and Paul Greene and Curwensville and fiance Courtney Mayhew; and five grandchildren, Olivia and Jack Steele, Hunter Bloom, and Wyatt and Lorelai Greene.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nelson Greene; and a sister, Judy Otto.

In honor of his wishes, there will be no services held.
