Obituary for Luisa E. Martinez
Luisa E. Martinez, 91, of Curwensville, formerly of Grand Island, NY, died on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at her home.
She was born on June 19, 1931 in Camuy, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Ulysses and Paulina (Velasquez) Vargas.
Luisa was a homemaker and worked in the food industry. She enjoyed fresh flowers, gardening, and cooking.
She is survived by her son, Hector Martinez and companion Diane Stephenson of Curwensville; a daughter, Lillian Martinez of Grand Island, NY; five grandchildren, Gina, Heidi, Joseph, Robert, and Jacob; a great-granddaughter, Eloise Davis; a sister, Gloria Vargas; and a very good friend, Linda Piro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hector Manuel Martinez of 41 years.
Honoring Luisa's wishes, there will be no public services or visitation.
